Planning Consent was recently granted by North Warwickshire Borough Council for the Corley Solar project which combines a 16.5 MW solar park and a 2000 m2 CAE Unit and battery storage.

The project, which is also grid connected, is one of several that IPV is developing that seek to utilise the renewable energy generated by the solar array to support local power needs and encourage local economic growth.

By developing a CAE or vertical farming facility alongside the solar array the project has the potential  to directly addresses both energy and food security issues and create an estimated 30 new employment opportunities.

The project which also has a strategic planting and screening proposal that creates biodiversity net gain benefits of + 44% in habitat units and + 19% in hedgerow units.
